Plan for More Homes
→Build homes in a variety of innovative forms within urban boundaries Legalize fourplexes and four storeys as-of-right. Remove development charges on homes, condos and apartment units built under 2000 sq ft. Implement an Affordable Community Fund to reimburse municipalities for lost revenue. Allow single family dwellings to be divided into multiple condominium units
“Let’s stop the demolition of perfectly good housing stock in Toronto. I’m watching several sites that have perfectly good bones!” -Anna
Invest in Kids
→ clearing the backlog in school repairs, supporting students with special needs, and extending OHIP to cover mental health care.
“Let’s support schools immediately. As usual I will encourage volunteer reading programs, walkign buses, educational assemblies and newly - Greenbelt school lunches. I will extend student deputations training from Swansea JSPS to all PHP schools while we push to legislate and program for more staff and snack program funding.” Anna
Protect Water
→ safeguarding our local Humber River watershed by implementing new flood mitigation models to prevent the costly floods and brownouts in our riding. On July 16 2024 flood damages amounted to $1billion.
“Clean Water and self determination for Grassy Narrows will be an order of priority and a healthy precedence for Ontario’s shared water supply! As MPP I would stay with Grassy Narrows until the remediation of safe water is completed” Anna
Lower Essential Cost
→ “Parkdale High Park workers should not have to move to Milton to afford a home. I stand with unions like Unifor”-Anna
→Ontario is beholden to food imports and Greens are committed to protecting farmland, supporting farmers, and investing in Ag-tech to support innovation. In doing so, we can produce more food at home by growing year-round, support local grocers, and create more jobs in our communities.
The Green Plan also helps you save money on heating, and support for local businesses hit hard by tariffs.
Invest in Transit
→ restore municipal power through Charter Cities to restore TTC operations and make site specific locomotion strategies.
To relieve the 401, implement all-day two-way GO service and give municipalities new revenue tools to pay for improved and expanded local and regional transit.
